Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Wyler Works (“Wyler Works,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use Garden Companion by Wyler (“Garden Companion” or the “App”).

In short: Garden Companion uses account, garden, photo, device, usage, and purchase information to provide the service. We do not sell your personal information for money. You can delete your Garden Companion account from inside the App.

1. Information You Provide

  • Account information, such as your email address and authentication information associated with email/password or Sign in with Apple.
  • Garden and property information, including property and garden names, plant records, notes, observations, tasks, memories, and care history.
  • Photos and camera content you choose to capture or upload for plant identification, garden walkthroughs, observations, memories, or other features.
  • Questions and AI interactions, including text, images, and relevant garden context sent through Ask or other AI-assisted features.
  • Feedback and support information you submit to us.

2. Information Collected Through App Use

We may collect technical and usage information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Garden Companion, including app events, feature usage, diagnostic information, error information, request timing, usage counters, subscription status, and similar operational data.

Device permissions

Garden Companion may request permission to use device features such as the camera, photo library, microphone, or location-related functionality when a feature needs them. You can manage these permissions through iOS Settings.

3. Location and Weather

Garden Companion may use location or property-location information to provide weather, seasonal, and garden-specific guidance. Location or location-derived query information may be sent to weather-data providers as necessary to return that information.

4. Artificial Intelligence Features

Garden Companion uses artificial intelligence to provide plant identification, garden guidance, analysis, summaries, and related features. Information you submit to an AI-assisted feature may be processed by AI service providers, including OpenAI, together with relevant garden context needed to generate a response.

AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. Garden Companion is for general gardening information only. Do not rely on plant identification or App guidance for edibility, toxicity, medical, veterinary, or pesticide-safety decisions.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

Paid Garden Companion subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment-card information. We may receive and store transaction identifiers, product identifiers, subscription status, expiration information, and related purchase data needed to verify and provide subscription benefits.

6. How We Use Information

  • create and authenticate accounts;
  • provide, personalize, and maintain Garden Companion;
  • store and organize your garden records and media;
  • provide AI-assisted identification and garden guidance;
  • verify subscriptions and enforce feature limits;
  • protect the App against abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access;
  • diagnose errors and improve reliability;
  • respond to support requests and legal obligations.

7. Service Providers

We use service providers to operate Garden Companion. These may include cloud infrastructure and storage providers, authentication services, AI providers, weather-data providers, Apple for App Store purchases and Sign in with Apple, and other vendors needed to provide App functionality.

8. Data Sharing

We may disclose information to service providers described above, when required by law or legal process, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transaction. We do not sell your personal information for money.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Garden Companion, maintain account and subscription records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service.

10. Account Deletion

You can initiate permanent deletion from inside Garden Companion through the Profile area using Delete Account. Account deletion removes your Garden Companion account and associated user-owned garden data according to the App’s deletion process.

Deleting your Garden Companion account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. You can manage or cancel Apple subscriptions through your Apple account or the App Store subscription-management interface.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No storage or transmission system is completely secure.

12. Children

Garden Companion is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Your Choices

You can manage device permissions in iOS Settings, manage your Apple subscription through Apple, sign out of the App, and delete your Garden Companion account from within the App.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Garden Companion evolves. We will update the effective date when changes are made.
